Xactimate vs. Symbility: Why Your Supplement Writer Should Know Both

Red Rock Estimating • October 17, 2026

Matching the carrier's platform makes approvals faster.

Most carriers write estimates in either Xactimate or Symbility (CoreLogic Claims Workspace). The two platforms use different line-item codes, pricing databases, and formatting. When a supplement comes in on the same platform and in the same structure as the original estimate, the adjuster can compare them side by side and approve faster.

A supplement submitted in the "wrong" format creates friction. The adjuster has to translate it, and every extra step is a chance for items to get questioned, trimmed, or delayed.

That's why every Red Rock writer is trained in both platforms. We match the carrier's estimate structure, reference the right line items, and attach photos and measurements where the adjuster expects to find them.

The result: cleaner submissions, fewer rounds of revisions, and faster payment for your crew.
